There will be an auction of rabbits at this weekend's Walsall Four Star Championship Show to be held at Oak Park Leisure Centre, Walsall Wood, Walsall WS9 9PQ. Lots include Dwarf Lops from Susan Carlile, Jane Duffy and Nigel Atkinson, Mini Castor Rex from Tamar Stud and Mini Lops from Peter Faint. For further information contact Peter on 07816 870757.

Correction to the schedule for the Supreme London show: the Cashmere/Mini Cashmere/Dwarf & French Lop judge Mr Phil Batey has had to cancel his judging, Mr Garry Richardson will be judging these classes.

What's your favourite breed?

New Zealand

Originally bred for meat, this large docile rabbit has an extremely dense coat and the White (as illustrated) looks a picture when in prime exhibition coat and has won a large number of best in show awards. The New Zealand family includes the smaller Red which also originated in America, the less popular Blue and Black. Average size of the White is 11 lbs (4.989 kgs).
